Michel Duport part en Chine du 13 au 30 Mai 2010.
Invité par la Ville et l'Université de Dalian, il participe à une résidence d'artistes de 15 jours. Le temps fort en sera une rencontre de cultures, avec l'exposition dans laquelle se confronteront aussi des oeuvres d'artistes Chinois et Canadiens.
Après le voyage à Maputo, Mozambique, en 2007 avec Frédéric Galliano, c'est donc dans cette gigantesque ville portuaire que Michel Duport va découvrir ce pays-continent. Au Nord-Est de la Chine, à 1 heure de vol de Beijing (Pékin), à l'extrêmité de la péninsule de Liadong - Dalian est une bourgade provinciale, de 7 millions d'habitants...
Nous vous adresserons 5 cartes postales de Chine, des pages d'un carnet de voyage, avec les visions de l'artiste et son ressenti autour du voyage : un texte court, quelques images, des photos. Vous pourrez aussi à chaque newsletter poser vos questions à Michel Duport (chine@elandarts.com) qui vous répondra de Dalian.

Le travail de Michel Duport à Dalian sera par la suite présenté sous forme d'un livre d'artiste et d'estampes qui seront autant de témoignages de ce grand voyage.

With Michel Duport in China from May 13th to 30th, 2010.
He is invited by the City and the University of Dalian, to participate in a 2 weeks artistic residency. The highlight will be an exhibition which will also confront works of artists from China and Canada.
After the Maputo experience, in Mozambique in 2007, with Frederic Galliano, it's now this gigantic port city of seven million people, where Michel Duport will immerse himself. Dalian is located in north-east China, one hour by plane from Beijing (Peking), at the tip of the Liadong peninsula.
We propose to send you 5 postcards from China, with the vision of the artist and his feelings : a short text, some pictures and drawings. If you wish, you may also ask your questions at Michel Duport at the following e-mail adress: chine@elandarts.com - he will have pleasure to answer on his impressions from Dalian.
