Born in 1967 in Caracas , Venezuela
Maribel Mas lives in the Barcelona Raval since 2000.
She creates drawings, lithographs and etchings, that she realizes in small editions in her lithography studio 'Taller Esquina' in Barcelona.
Since 2004, she has specialized in working on Japanese papers, made by craftsmen in a town called Aoya located in Tottori province. They make excellent quality mitsumata, ganpi and kozo papers for drawing and for stone and plate lithography printing.
In 2004, the Kyoudokan Museum of Aoya gave her an award for her graphic works.
In 2005, the Arches Papers gave her also an award for lithography works on Velin heavyweight cotton paper.
