Troisième jour de création Mozambicaine pour Michel Duport et Frédéric Galliano.

Découvrons encore un peu mieux ce pays, centre de multiples influences. Il y a bien longtemps, en 1498, à l'arrivée du navigateur portugais, Vasco de Gama, de nombreux échanges commerciaux étaient déjà réalisés entre les habitants et les commerçants arabes. Une grande partie de la population était déjà convertie à l'Islam. Les Portugais installèrent peu de temps après des comptoirs et construisirent des forts.

Le Mozambique est indépendant depuis le 25 juin 1975 après 5 siècles de colonisation portugaise.

En 1995 le Mozambique qui n'avait jamais été administré par la Grande-Bretagne a demandé à entrer dans le Commonwealth.

Comment ce pays d'Afrique vit-il tous ces métissages ?

La parole à Michel Duport :

"Il ne se passe pas tous les jours quelque chose.
A coté de l'avenue Karl Marx, tous les objets de pacotille sont chinois mais accrochés aux grilles des magasins.
C'est comme une page verticale avec des taches de couleurs.
Où est l'identité, l'origine, la vérité du pays ? Comme partout, dans le téléphone portable, pour le commerce ou l'amour."

Third creative day in Mozambique for Michel Duport and Frédéric Galliano.

Let's further discover this African country, at the center of multiple influences. Back in history, in 1498, when the Portuguese navigator Vasco de Gama discovered this land, numerous commercial routes were already active with Arabic countries. A large part of the population was already Islamic. Soon after, Portuguese set their own trading posts and built forts.

Mozambique is independant since june 25th 1975, after 5 centuries of Portuguese colonisation.

In 1995, Mozambique, that had never been administered by Great-Britain, asked to become member of the Commonwealth.

How does this country live with these influences ?

A word by Michel Duport :

"It is not everyday that something happens.
Next to Karl Marx avenue, all cheap things are chinese and hanged up to the shop grille gates. Just like a vertical page with colour spots.
Where is the identity, the origin, the truth of this country? As everywhere, possibly in portable phones, for business or love."
