Après l'imposante exposition "Alechinsky: de A à Y" (23/11/2007 - 30/03/2008), Bruxelles propose de souffler les 60 bougies du mouvement COBRA, le mouvement d'origine de l'artiste belge. 60 bougies, ce n'est pas tant que ça, mais cela mérite quand même de reprendre son souffle et ce sont donc deux superbes rendez-vous qui sont à découvrir.
Il y a d'abord l'exposition des Musées Royaux des Beaux-Arts de Belgique (07/11/2008 - 15/02/2009), avec ces pièces caractéristiques (Jorn, Dotremont, Noiret, Corneille, Appel, Constant, Alechinsky,...) et également, des oeuvres collectives, spécifiques à ce mouvement: "la peinture à deux pinceaux, l'écriture à deux pensées" (Dotremont/Jorn...).
Pour les amoureux de l'estampe, une exposition "Cobra & cie : estampes et imprimés" est également présentée dans la Salle du Conseil du Palais des Beaux Arts de Bruxelles (jusqu'au 04 janvier 2009). Elle regroupe une centaine d'oeuvres, individuelles ou réalisées à plusieurs, et présente une autre facette, appliquée aux multiples, de ces talents réunis entre 1948 et 1951. L'esprit de ce mouvement éphèmère a perduré bien au-delà de cette courte période.

Une fois à Bruxelles, s'il est encore temps, ne pas manquer le "corps du délit" ou "Corpus Delicti" (attention jusqu'au 21/11/2008), une étonnante façon de découvrir le Palais de Justice, ce lieu particulier, aussi énorme qu'insolite.
En quittant la capitale européenne, nous vous proposons de découvrir d'autres horizons. A Lorient (France - 56), le port breton a la chance de bénéficier d'une rétrospective de Thierry Le Saëc avec l'exposition 'La possibilité d'être du ciel ' jusqu'au 23 novembre 2008 à la Galerie du Faouëdic : larguez les amarres, et découvrez la ligne exquise.

After the impressive exhibition "Alechinsky : from A to Y" (23/11/2007 - 30/03/2008), Brussels proposes to blow the 60 candles on the COBRA movement, which the Belgian artist joined at an early artistic age. 60 candles is not that much, but it still deserves to resume one's breath and there are therefore two superb events to discover.
First, the exhibition of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Belgium (07/11/2008 - 15/02/2009), with remarkable masterpieces from Jorn, Dotremont, Noiret, Corneille, Appel, Constant, Alechinsky, .... You will also have the chance to have a closer look at some collective works specific to this movement: "painting with two brushes, writing with two thoughts" (Dotremont / Jorn ...).
For lovers of multiples, you need to visit the second exhibition "Cobra & Co.: engravings and prints" at the Council Chamber - Palais des Beaux Arts (until 04 January 2009). It brings together a hundred of works, individual or collective, and brings into light another facet of these talents who gathered between 1948 and 1951. The spirit of this ephemeral movement is still present, long after this short period.

Once in Brussels, do not miss the "Corpus Delicti" exhibition (until 21/11/2008), an amazing way to discover the Palace of Justice, enormous and striking.
Leaving the European capital, we suggest to go towards some other horizons. In Lorient (France - 56), the Breton port has the chance to enjoy a retrospective of Thierry Le Saec, with the exhibition 'The possibility for the sky to be', until 23 November 2008 at the Galerie du Faouëdic.
